Hiring Process
Once your application is
submitted to the Human Resources Department, an initial screening takes place
by the HR Manager; acknowledgement and status of the application will be
communicated either via telephone or mail. Once the applicant is
determined qualified for the position applied, the application will be
forwarded to the appropriate manager for review and possible interview. A
team of peers will wrap up the final step of the interview process and will
actually make a recommendation for hire based on their interview with the
applicant. MCH follows this special process because we hire special
people. MCH employees take personal interest and ownership in making sure
the best person for the job is hired and that person will be the right
fit.

We are looking for an experienced Nurse Manager who is patient and employee focused and has experience in the use of evidence-based practice to sustain excellent patient outcomes. BSN required.
This position would be responsible for the inpatient floor – duties include but are not limited to: leading the nursing dept that includes 30+ employees; using evidence-based practice, focusing on customer service and teamwork, making the schedule, filling in on the floor when census calls for it, etc

This is a night position with every other weekend; Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; Current State of Iowa Paramedic Specialist Certificate; ACLS and BCLS certified; Mandatory Reporting certified or within 90 days of hire; PHTLS provider endorsement preferred; PALS provider preferred; Valid and unrestricted Iowa Drivers License. Duties include: Provides pre-hospital care for the ill and injured patients through assessment, intervention, and ambulance transportation, according to the protocols established by the Medical Director; Assures daily ambulance checks of inventory, restocking, disinfecting, cleaning and maintenance of all ambulances are performed; Immediately following an ambulance run, restocks and disinfects the ambulance, completes all run reports (with thorough documentation), dispatch records, and charge sheets; and Cross trains to Lab, RT, ER and the Floor to provide assistance as requested in a timely and cooperative manner.
