There is no greater gift—and no greater reward—than making a difference in someone’s life. When you entrust us with a gift, we pledge that your gift will make a difference in the lives of your friends, family, and loved ones in the community.
There are a variety of ways that can be tailored to meet your wishes and your financial situation. Here are some of the more popular ways to make a gift:
Your gift of cash, check or money order is the simplest method of giving. Other options include insurance policies, real estate, stocks, or bonds. This will be used for areas of greatest need.
Memorial and Honor Gifts
A thoughtful way to remember a loved one or cherished friend is to give a gift their name as a tribute. Gifts can be given to wherever the need is greatest or designated for a specific use. A letter of acknowledging your thoughtfulness is sent to the family members or the honoree.
Through carefully planned wills and estates, several donors have been able to provide a measure of support that could not possibly have been duplicated with outright gifts. If you’d like more information about making a charitable bequest, leavealegacy.org is an excellent resource, or call our Chief Executive Officer at 641-932-1755.
Capital Campaign Donations
Although the Monroe County Health Care Foundation is not currently working on a Capital Campaign, gifts for capital expenses are always accepted. To make donations or for additional information on potential Capital Campaign projects, please contact Veronica Fuhs at 641-932-1755.
Deferred Gifts and Trusts
A deferred gift can enable you to make a generous gift and benefit financially at the same time. In some cases, the donor or spouse may receive a lifetime income from a charitable gift and benefit healthcare locally at the same time. A deferred gift can also enable a donor to save on income, capital gains and estate taxes.
