Dr. Curiel joined Monroe County Hospital & Clinics in November, 2009. He was born in Mexico, but grew up in Northern California. He is a graduate of Benedictine College, Atchison, Kansas and received his Doctor of Medicine from University of Kansas School of Medicine. He completed his family practice residency in Salina, Kansas. He was in practice in Oakley, Kansas from 2007-2009. He is a board certified family physician with a special interest in endoscopy, orthopedics, pediatrics and fertility care. He performs colonoscopy and EGD at Monroe County Hospital & Clinics. Dr. Curiel is fluent in Spanish and enjoys seeing patients of all ages.
Dr. Curiel and his wife, Melissa, reside in Albia. They are the proud parents of six daughters and two sons. He spends his free time weight lifting, watching movies and enjoying his children. He enjoys authentic Mexican food.
