The focus of respiratory therapy is to treat respiratory diseases and conditions that have a respiratory component .  This is done through administering nebulized medicines, providing chest physical therapy, continuous ventiliation and oxygen therapy.
 
Monroe County Hospital & Clinics’ Respiratory Therapy team provides testing and treatment for people with lung diseases such as emphysema and asthma. We provide life saving- procedures such as ventilation.
 
Services include a range of diagnostic and therapeutic programs are structured for both inpatient and outpatient service. These include aerosol therapy, , pre-and post-surgical respiratory care and oxygen therapy. Diagnostic testing includes pulmonary function testing, arterial blood gas sampling and pulse oximetry.

Department Hours include Monday - Friday 7:00 AM-3:00 PM
