Shehada Homedan, MD

A native of Jordan, he completed the rigorous orthopedic surgery program at the Jordan University of Science and Technology, followed by an orthopedic trauma fellowship at the University of New Mexico Hospital, and an orthopedic adult reconstructive and orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Dr. Homedan sees cases that pertain to fractures, shoulder and knee arthroplasty, total knee and total hip replacements, fracture management and trauma care. Cases are seen with a referral from a personal healthcare provider.

Dr. Homedan became interested in orthopedics while doing his first surgical rotation. When choosing where to practice, he and his family found rural Iowa to be attractive, preferring it to the more crowded, fast-paced life of the city. He is joined by his wife and three children. He is an avid soccer fan and enjoys playing and competing in soccer matches.
