Monroe County Health Care Foundation Scholarship Application

The Monroe County Health Care Foundation will be awarding up to $1000 in scholarships to one or more high school seniors who reside in Monroe County Iowa. This scholarship has been designed to assist graduating seniors who desire to pursue a post-secondary education in a state-accredited institution which provides training in a health-related field. This scholarship money may be used for any bona fide school expenses such as tuition, fees and books.
A broad-based criteria is used in the selection process. The principal criterion is a demonstrated commitment to post-secondary education in a health-related field. An applicants’ academic record, communication skills, community involvement and an instructor recommendation are also considered.
Seniors from Albia, Eddyville/Blakesburg and Moravia who feel they meet the criteria for eligibility are invited to submit an application. A copy of the application may be obtained through the guidance department of any of the above-mentioned high schools or from the Monroe County Health Care Foundation at the Monroe County Hospital & Clinics. Applications must be postmarked no later than Friday, April 3, 2020 for the application and supporting materials to be considered by the committee. From all the applications received, the scholarship committee will select the number of scholarships given.
