What the Grant Means for MCHC
Through this grant, we are looking for applicants interested in upskilling as a Medical Assistant.
Program Overview
Here’s how the upskilling program works:
- You are employed full-time (40 hours per week) at MCHC throughout your training and receive the same benefits as all other employees—this includes health insurance, IPERS, paid time off, and more.
- Training is completed through a combination of on-the-job experience and online education.
- The online education component is conducted through a trusted provider of self-paced healthcare training programs.
- The flexibility of the online education’s self-paced structure allows you to manage your learning —with a suggested timeline provided to help keep you on track.
- You are paid during your full-time on-the-job training and online learning, making this a great opportunity to earn while you learn.
- The training and online education will take less than one year to complete.
- At the end up the upskilling program, you will sit for the certification exam.
