As the Team Lead for the Health Information Management department, Ashley serves as the go to person for day-to-day operations and needs including actively assisting with processes and concerns, orienting new team members, and many other duties. Prior to Team Lead, Ashley was a Coder for the Health Information Management department for a little over two years. As a coder, Ashley assigned codes for diagnoses and procedures that were submitted to insurance companies for payment of medical services. She also performed release of information, and other daily tasks related to health information and maintenance of health records.
Ashley shares, “There is always something changing and new to learn with coding and billing, which is enjoyable for myself and our department. I enjoy solving problems and researching new information.”
