4th Annual Vegas Night

The Monroe County Health Care Foundation and the Monroe County Hospital & Clinics are excited to invite Albia and surrounding communities to attend their Fourth Annual Vegas Night.  This event is exclusive to only 150 people and will be another exciting night to remember.

The fundraising event is scheduled for Saturday, October 12, 2013 at the Albia Country Club. Check in begins at 6:00 PM with the Vegas-style gaming starting at 7:00PM.  Casual attire is recommended.  Attendees can expect to play Vegas-style games, enjoy great entertainment, good friends and good food with a live auction to conclude the night.  Tickets are $25 each and are available now from MCHC Foundation Board Members, the Foundation office located at the Hospital, and at First Iowa State Bank and Peoples State Bank in Albia. Or, tickets may be obtained by calling Dawn Maughan, Monroe County Health Care Foundation Manager, at 641-932-1689.

This year the Foundation’s goal is to raise enough funds to assist the MCHC Surgery Department in purchasing a ForceTriad Energy Platform and LigaSure Machine at a cost of $25,000. This all–in-one system permanently fuses vessels up to and including 7 mm, lymphatics, tissue bundles and pulmonary vasculature. Surgeons can potentially shorten their O.R. procedure time by having control of power and mode adjustment from the sterile field. This also allows for faster fusion cycles, offers a more flexible fusion zone with less desiccation of tissue and has consistent controlled tissue effects. With this ForceTriad Energy Platform LigaSure Machine, MCHC is better positioned to reach its vision to be the Safest Hospital in America.

Because of the generosity last year, Monroe County Health Care Foundation were able to assist the Hospital Emergency Department in purchasing a Central Cardiac/Telemetry Monitor at the cost of $27,000.

This event is made possible through the generous donations of various partners and friends of the Hospital. Donations are still being accepted.  If you would like to donate, contact Dawn Maughan, Foundation Manager, at 641-932-1689.
