Top Workplace Monroe County

Albia, Iowa, Sunday, September 22, 2024 – Monroe County Hospital & Clinics (MCHC) has been awarded a Top Workplaces 2024 honor by Iowa Top Workplaces. This list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage LLC. In 2024, 3,073 companies were invited to participate in the survey, and a total of 132 companies, across small, medium, and large categories, were honored. MCHC is thrilled to share that they ranked 7th out of 55 organizations in the mid-sized category! The confidential survey uniquely measures the employee experience and its component themes, including employees feeling Respected & Supported, Enabled to Grow, and Empowered to Execute, to name a few.

“This award reflects the remarkable dedication and hard work of our outstanding employees,” said Veronica Fuhs, MCHC CEO. “Your commitment to fostering a positive and collaborative workplace has truly made this possible.”

During the formal event, a quote from one of MCHC’s employees was highlighted. “I love my job because it provides me with the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. The company places a strong emphasis on leveraging my strengths and interests, allowing me to find excitement in my role. I appreciate the trust they place in me to complete my tasks.”

“This statement embodies the values we strive for at MCHC and reflects why this recognition is so meaningful,” said Veronica Fuhs, MCHC CEO. “We want to extend our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you. Your passion, drive, and teamwork are the foundation of MCHC’s success, and this award is a direct result of your efforts. It belongs to all of you, and we couldn’t be prouder of our incredible team.”

“Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees,” said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. “That’s something to be proud of. In today’s market, leaders must ensure they’re allowing employees to have a voice and be heard. That’s paramount. Top Workplaces do this, and it pays dividends.”
