The Monroe County Health Care Foundation would like to thank Carol Sovern and her family for the generous donation to add a gazebo to the grounds of Monroe County Hospital & Clinics. The donation is in memory of Carol’s husband, Elmer. The gazebo is to honor the nursing staff of MCHC for the fine services they give the patients every day. A memorial garden and bench are donated by Colleen Putnam and her family in memory of her husband, Robert Putman, a long-time teacher and master gardener in Albia.
The memorial garden is on the east side of MCHC in between the east 2 and east 3 entrances. The area offers a serene atmosphere for the families of patients.
