Willert Resigns as MCHC CEO

The Monroe County Hospital & Clinics Board of Directors has accepted the resignation of CEO Todd Willert. He submitted his resignation effective November 21, and it was accepted by the Board at a special meeting on October 27.

Willert joined Monroe County Hospital & Clinics in August of 2013. He has been a CEO with Mercy Health Network for more than 20 years. He extended his appreciation to the Board for providing the opportunity to serve the hospital, clinics and citizens of Monroe County, and added, “Although my tenure here has been short, I feel we have made significant strides in positioning the hospital for long-term future success.”

Board President Marilee Scieszinski noted the significant improvement in the financial position of the hospital and clinics while Willert has been administrator. “I would like to thank Todd for his time and efforts since he joined us at MCHC. We enjoyed getting to know him and his family and wish them nothing but the best.”

The Board, in conjunction with Mercy Health Network, announced the appointment of Michael Trachta, Vice President for Network Critical Access Hospital Operations, Mercy Health Network-Central Iowa, as interim administrator. Working with the Board of Directors, Mercy Health Network officials will immediately begin recruiting for a new CEO.
