Job Schedule

Part-time: 20hours/week, Monday – Friday

  • Day off: Wednesday

Hours: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Job Description

Primary duties for this position include:

  • Expense supplies with correct unit of measure from 2-Bin system, requisitions and electronic requisitions to each department with correct GL numbers (billable/non-billable, implants) in hospital information software.
  • Restocks and delivers supplies from 2-Bin system, requisitions, and purchase orders.
  • Stocks shelves and rotates stock, using oldest supplies first.
  • Files purchase orders and requisitions.
  • Receipt for packaging slips into hospital information system with correct GL account numbers.
  • Matches purchase orders with packaging slips.
  • Unloads supplies from delivery trucks, pick-up and sort mail.
  • Delivers packages and mail to departments and adds stock to inventory.
  • Displays behavior consistent with the mission and values of Monroe County Hospital & Clinics.
  • Cleans shelves and department storage areas as needed.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Ongoing compliance with MCHC educational and training requirements.
  • Adheres to the MCHC mission, vision, values, and Standards of Behavior.
  • Maintains patient and hospital confidentiality.
  • Promotes and maintains positive relationships with patients, visitors, coworkers, and providers.
  • Actively participates in department huddles, in-services, meetings, and educational opportunities.
  • Follows all departmental policies and procedures and adheres to departmental budget.
Job Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Mandatory Reporter certified or within 90 days of hire.
  • The ability to multi-task.
  • Overall attention to detail, organizational ability, and ability to prioritize.
  • The ability to work in teams and communicate accurately and clearly.
  • Computer experience using Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Proficient in English in order to communicate with co-workers, managers, patients, families, and other caregivers.
