Des Moines Register Names Monroe County Hospital & Clinics a 2026 Iowa Top Workplace
ALBIA, Iowa, September 28, 2026 — Monroe County Hospital & Clinics (MCHC) has been named a 2026 Iowa Top Workplace by the Des Moines Register, marking its 11th consecutive year receiving the honor. MCHC placed fourth among 47 mid-sized organizations recognized this year.
The recognition is especially meaningful because it is based solely on employee feedback. Of the 5,579 Iowa organizations invited to participate, 133 were honored. The results come from a confidential survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage LLC. The survey measures key parts of the employee experience, including whether employees feel respected and supported, enabled to grow, and empowered to do their work.
