Diabetes Prevention Education

The Monroe County Hospital & Clinics Certified Diabetes Educator, Lori Vitko, ARNP, will present a free educational program on diabetes prevention to the community on Tuesday, January 21st from 5:30-7:00 PM in the Conference Center at the Hospital.

The event will feature discussion focusing on diabetes signs and symptoms, prevention, and risk factors facilitated by Vitko.  This is for anyone who may be at risk or is concerned about developing diabetes.  Registration is required to attend. Lori Vitko is a Family Nurse Practitioner who is a Certified Diabetes Educator.  Diabetes Educators are healthcare professionals who focus on helping people with diabetes and people at risk for diabetes. Lori has knowledge and skills obtained through professional practice experience, continuing education, individual study and mentorship. Lori has been a Certified Diabetes educator since 1999.
