Monroe County Hospice Seeking Volunteers

Monroe County Hospice is searching for committed volunteers who are dependable and want to make a difference in someone’s life.

Monroe County Hospice has a vibrant volunteer program guided by compassionate and caring members who assist in enhancing the quality of life for patients and their loved ones in Monroe County. Volunteers are available for companionship, errands, respite care and bereavement support for families as well as visiting patients in homes, hospitals and nursing homes.

Those interested in participating in this rewarding experience will enroll in a four-session training program provided by Monroe County Hospice. The course is designed to prepare potential volunteers for the various aspects of hospice work.

The classes will be held from 5-9 PM in the Monroe County Hospital & Clinics Conference Center on the following dates:

Session 1: Tuesday, April 8th  Session 2: Thursday, April 10th Session 3: Tuesday, April 15th Session 4: Thursday, April 17th

There is no charge for the training and CEH’s will be available.  Attendees must attend all four sessions to be eligible to volunteer.
