Monroe County Hospital & Clinics Welcomes Dr. Joshua Harris

Albia, IA – Monroe County Hospital & Clinics (MCHC) is pleased to announce that Joshua Harris, DO, will begin his medical practice at Monroe County Hospital Medical Clinic in late August 2021. Dr. Harris is board certified in family medicine.

Dr. Harris completed his undergraduate studies at South Dakota State University, Spearfish, SD with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He attended medical school at Des Moines University where he received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Harris completed his residency at Monument Health Family Medicine Residency program in Rapid City, SD in June 2021.

Dr. Harris has relocated to the area with his wife and children. “I first came to Albia as a third-year medical student and was able to spend time within the community and get to know the area. After graduating from residency, I made the decision to establish practice here because I enjoy the small-town setting where I really get to know my patients, their families, and provide for their healthcare needs.” said Dr. Harris. Dr. Harris’s experiences throughout residency focus primarily on family medicine.

“Adding a family physician to our medical practice is always an exciting time. Dr. Harris is eager to begin seeing patients and we welcome him to the medical clinic and to our community.” said Kendra Sinclair, Director of Rural Health Clinic Operations.
