Experience/Education Dr. Sokol received his undergraduate degree at Iowa State University, completing his medical training at the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery, receiving his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in 1994. He did an internship at Des Moines General Hospital, moving forward completing a four year Surgical Residency at Mercy/Des Moines General Hospital. Dr. Sokol has been performing surgery in southern Iowa since July, 1999.
